Sunday, December 1st, Viola.......a prissy name for a tough flower

These little Violas started life in  February , in  turkey shell incubators.

  Come spring they moved to the front porch garden, where they quietly grew and spread, gracing the entrance with  bright bits of purple and yellow all through the summer and fall.

And now, despite many nights of single digit cold, wet and heavy snow, and short sunless days they persist.
