Don joined us since he was on vacation all week.

207 was my lucky number this summer.....my Catamount Bib number (and I had perfect attendance and came in 1st in my age group every time, for 18 Tuesdays) and Mo's and my number for the Adirondack Canoe Classic 90 Miler, in which we had our 2nd best time. 
What are the chances of getting the same number for both events?

So we skipped tennis and instead went to Klingers for coffee, sweets and gossip.
Monday, November 18 Pad Thai
This picture is really from Tuesday the 19th, but the photo I took on the 19th was of a friend's birthday, so I really couldn't put that on any other day but her birthday. Anyway, this is a photo of the Pad Thai that Scott made for dinner. It was DEEEEEEElicious!! There were lots of preparation steps and lots of ingredients, but from my point of view, it was all worth the effort.

Wednesday November 13th Mo's got pneumonia
and she's been home for a while and out of work for two weeks. Hopefully the new prescription of antibiotics will help her shake it. Poor Mo!!!

Monday, November 11th. Turning Yarn to Balls
A couple of nifty tools help to turn skeins of yarn into center feed balls of yarn. And it feels like a good thing to do on a blustery, grey, November day.

Don promises to clean up his shop as his birthday gift to Scott, who wanted room in the shop to work on his kayak paddle. 
Friday, November 8th. Breakfast Clubbers
We try a new place for us....previously ignored because it was affiliated with a hotel. But it is independently owned and run and serves up a five star breakfast!
Thursday, November 7th Scott's 28th Birthday Dinner
We celebrate at Turtle Island Cafe in Willsboro. 
Wednesday, November 6th Furniture Shopping
We need a guest room headboard, a Hunt Board for the dining room, a coffee table and end table for the den and a couple of dressers. Vermont Home is a nice little furniture store on Route 7, south of Middlebury that is family run. They make beautiful and great priced, high quality furniture.

Don has put the winter coats on the bee hives, hoping they will stay plenty warm through the winter.
Sunday, November 3d The First Try at Maple Cream Pie
I need to try again. It looked great but lacked enough maple flavor. This was a pudding based pie.
