Monday January 28th Tv Camera Settings

I set the sink to dripping so I could test out different setting with the camera in the Tv mode. It was fun and I snapped a couple of good photos. The second one is 'photo-shopped' in Picasa.

Friday, January 11 Breakfast at the Manor

We finally get around to checking out the breakfast scene at Pillsbury Manor.
The food was delicious, the coffee plentiful and excellent, the ambiance peaceful and pleasant. We even got to talk to the chef afterwards....Ray! He makes a mean French Toast, apparently because it's his wife's favorite and he has to make it for her every weekend. Best of all...the price!.....only $4/person and no tipping. We may have to eat here again.

Wednesday, January 2nd Crystals and Cold

It was the kind of cold today that makes you want to retreat as deep into your house as you can, but outside, there is some cold beauty to be had, like skies indescribably blue, and impossibly intricate crystal patterns. (The thermometer reads 4.5F!)

Tuesday, January 1st Old Wishes for a New Year

I was given this old embroidery from Mom when she moved from her house in Durham to her new apartment in South Burlington. It was embroidered by her back in the 1950s so I guess that makes it vintage, if not antique. I'm going to find a place to hang it somewhere in the breakfast nook. What a nice and simple wish for a new year. Thanks Mom!
